2. Choose single Mariner or Multiple Mariner
3. Enter your reference number and the last name of the mariner
4. Click on search button to see you application status

MMC Application Status Approved

If your MMC application status shows “Approved,” it means the U.S. Coast Guard’s National Maritime Center has reviewed your application and deemed it complete, signifying that your Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) is ready to be printed and issued, and you should soon receive it in the mail; check the “Credential Status” section on the MMLD Application Status tool to see if it says “Approved to Print,” “Printed,” or “Issued” to confirm full approval.

How Long Does MMC Application Processing Take?

The average process takes around 90 days, from the time it is received by USCG, it also depends on the applications completeness, NMC’s goal is to complete it in 30 days.
